SP stresses on unified efforts among cops to solve crime cases
Kurnool: Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli has announced a financial incentive of Rs 10,000 to police officers if the accused are convicted within one month of filing POCSO cases.
The SP said he will offer this incentive out of his salary to improve conviction rate of accused in the sexual abuses against the children. The SP held crime review meeting at Ved Vyas Auditorium here on Saturday.
Addressing the meeting, the SP expressed happiness for successfully completing one year of service in the district with the coordination of all police personnel. He stressed on the unified efforts and cooperation among officials to solve crime and other cases, and to maintain law and order situation in the district.
He further said Kurnool stands next to Anantapur in registering more number of history sheet. So far history sheet has been opened on 2,600 people; police need to keep vigil on these people.
The SP directed the officials to immediately file cases on cyber frauds received and send them to regional Cyber Forensic Lab. He instructed the police personnel to pay special attention towards, matka, gambling, gutka traders and other anti-social activities. He has also directed the police personnel to avail weekly off.
Later the SP and Additional SP M Deepika Patil presented commendation certificates to the police personnel who have shown outstanding performance in cracking murder and robbery cases.
