Six held in the Journalist K Satyanarayana's Murder case

The East Godavari police in Andhra Pradesh arrested six people on Tuesday in the murder case of journalist K Satyanarayana, who was killed earlier this month.

Satyanarayana 45 who was the new reporter in ABN Andhra Jyothy was brutally attacked by two assailants at his residence in S Annavaram village in Tuni mandal when he was returning home.

The accused were identified as Venkata Ramana, Sakuru Durga, Sivaramakrishna Tataji, Gangisetty Suresh, B Ramesh and Allad Babjee.

Earlier, the police had filed a case on Tuni YSRCP MLA and government chief whip Dadisetti Raja, after receiving a complaint by the deceased family members. However, the MLA's name was deleted from the FIR after a probe.

Going into details furnished by police Satyanarayana reported;y allegedly threatened authorities and had blackmailed both the accused- Venkata Ramana and Dorababu. The accused Venkata Ramana paid Rs 2 lakh to the Journalist. With this scenario, the accused planned to murder him, the police said.

Meanwhile, the accused were produced in the local court and sent to judicial remand.
