SEB cops whips on illegal transportation of liquor and sand -seize 3029 bottles of liquor, 18 tons of sand. - arrests 42 persons

Kurnool: The cops of Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) seize huge quantities of Non-Duty Paid Liquor (NDPL) and sand during extensive raids conducted across the district on Saturday. The authorities have stated that several persons are illegally transporting liquor from the adjacent states, Telangana and Karnataka. To put a check to the illegal trade raids and checking are being conducted extensively across the district.

During the raids, huge quantities of liquor (Non-Dility Paid Liquor) was seized. Around 3029 bottles of various brands, 157 litres of country-made liquor, 12 vehicles, 5862 ghutka sachets and 18 tons of sand were seized.

Apart from these, 5595 litres of jaggery wash was destroyed. 56 cases were filed and 42 persons were arrested.

The SEB cops have appealed the people to keep informed the police about the illegal trade of sand, liquor and other spurious and banned materials. They are also urged to forward the photos and videos to WhatsApp no. 7993822444. The officials have said that the informer's name would be kept secret.
