SCDS annual convocation held

Vijayawada: The 10th annual convocation of Samana College of Design Studies (SCDS) was held here on Friday on a grand note. The guests of the occasion were Pratap Jadhav, founder of IIID, Mumbai and Krishna Mehta, Lakme designer from Mumbai.

The chief guests honoured about 300 students of both Fashion and Interior Design graduates and diploma holders on the occasion. The venue was filled with cheers and applauds as the students received their certificates, medals and championships. The 'Student of the Year' award was bagged by Gopi of Fashion Designing.

SCDS founder Samana Hussaini said that the college had a roller coaster ride of a decade and had successfully trained about a 5,000 alumni. The college slowly acclaimed its name and fame spreading its wings from Vijayawada to Hyderabad and to Visakhapatnam and is also affiliated with universities like JNAFAU and ANU.

Now, it had stepped into the international ties with the top 4th world famous NABA University, Milan, Italy. The convocation event also marks the pronouncement of the partnership deal with the University, she added.College CEO Sheeba Abbas, staff and students were present on the occasion.
