Rajamahendravaram: NGOs participation in social service hailed
Rajamahendravaram: Former MP Undavalli Arun Kumar has underlined the need of non-governmental organizations' participation in social service activities, as the government cannot do alone all the things. Participating as the chief guest in the 16th-anniversary celebrations of Swarnandhra Old-age Home here on Tuesday, he said the importance of old-age homes was increasing day by day because of the prevailing circumstances in the families.
He lauded the services of Swarnandha Old-age Home founder Dr. Gubbala Rambabu for running the organisation without expecting any profit for 16 years and assured to extend necessary help to the old-age home.
He appealed to the people to extend their help to the old-age home which is running successfully and also hailed the decision of Rambabu to start a paid old-age home. Later, he distributed sarees and blankets to the inmates and hounoured the donors. Swarandhra Seva Samithi president Runkani Venkateshwara Rao, Zilla Grandhalaya Samsta former chairman Allu Bobby, Somayajulu and others were present on the occasion.
