QIS NSS students win prizes in elocution contest

Ongole: The secretary and correspondent of QIS College of Engineering and Technology Nidamanuri Surya Kalyan Chakravarthy, chairman of Nidamanuri Educational Trust Nidamanuri Nageswara Rao announced that their students from the NSS have participated in the elocution competition held by the Prakasam district Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) as part of the World Red Cross Day celebrations and won prizes in it.

Nageswara Rao said that speaking on the topic 'Role of Red Cross in global peace' the QIS students mentioned the services of Red Cross in various natural calamities in the state and country, providing blood to the needy and the houses constructed by the organisation etc.

He said that N Srihasa won the first prize, M Abhijna won the second prize and D Balakrishna third prize while T Nandini and M Manogra received the consolation prizes. He appreciated the students for their performances while the principal Dr Dhulipalla Venkatarao, QIS NSS director Dr Vasubabu congratulated them.
