Tirupati : CPI national secretary Dr K Narayana felt that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is daydreaming of getting 400 seats just as the Chief Minister was advocating ‘Why not 175’ in AP.

Speaking to the media in Tirupati on Friday, he said that it is not at all possible for Modi to come to power again and if NDA will not come to power, it will be TDP that comes out of the alliance first.

He said that CPI wishes that Naidu should come out of NDA as the TDP chief had committed a mistake by joining hands witht he BJP.

Narayana said that the BJP leaders are aware that the party will lose the elections in north India and still Modi tried to create a feeling of NDA victory among the people by saying that they will get 400 seats.

Further, Narayana predicted that the BJP will not get more seats in south India except for a few seats in AP and Telangana. The BJP will lose half of the seats in Karnataka and it will not get any seats in Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and even in West Bengal. Then how it can get seats to assume power again, he asked.

He ridiculed the meditation of PM Modi at Kanyakumari saying there was a lot of difference between this and Swamy Vivekananda’s meditation. “Modi has been praying to God to free him for all the sins he committed,” he commented.

Narayana recalled that Modi did not mention about development, employment generation, projects and corruption anywhere during his campaign but sought votes in the name of religion and God. As the black money has grown rampantly, candidates have given Rs 2,000 to Rs 10,000 for each vote. If an MLA candidate spends Rs 100 cr how much does an MP candidate spend, he questioned.

He also said that YS Jagan government has acted with vindictiveness and not given posting for AB Venkateswara Rao till the last day of his retirement.

He wished that the Telangana Chief Minister would not resort to reverse governance and vindictive politics. Tirupati CPI candidate P Murali, state member Ramanaidu, CPM district secretary Vandavasi Nagaraju, Congress leader Mangati Gopal Reddy, Dr T Janardhan, Prabhakar, Ramachandraiah, Chinnam Penchalaiah, Radhakrishna and others also spoke.
