Pension Adalat for Rayalaseema held in Tirupati

Tirupati: To address the grievances of state government pensioners officials of various departments have organised Pension Adalat in Tirupati for the four districts of Rayalaseema on Friday. The higher officials of Treasuries and Accounts, Accountant General Office, State Audit department and Finance Department have attended the meeting to discuss with the pensioners about the pending issues and sort out the problems as early as possible.

The Director of Treasuries and Accounts BL Hanumantha Rao has said that the government has been spending Rs.20000 crores on pensions in the State budget. There are 340 cases pending in Rayalaseema out of which 220 were returned for various lapses in pension papers. The remaining 120 are provisional pensions which should not be continued for long and have to settle. At the Adalat four help desks were formed for four districts to address the grievances. Sr Dy Accountant General G Janabaga Lakshmi, Director of State Audit D Srinivasa Rao and Dy Secretary to Government of AP (Finance) VYVV Ramanjaneya Sarma also spoke on the occasion. State pensioners assoiciation President Alfred has presented some cases before the officials.
