PBS signs MoU with NGO in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: PB Siddhartha Arts and Science College entered a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with 'Now End Foundation', an NGO, said the college principal Dr M Ramesh here on Saturday.

The principal said that MoU with 'Now End Foundation' was intended for a healthy and safe social media use in a constructive way. He said that communication on social media should be with a decent language with correct details of the individual and the details should be restricted to strangers.

However, these days' social media is used with false details to create panic among the users. The MoU would restrict fake and false messages on the social media, he said. 'Now End Foundation' founder R Anil said that they are centrally operating from Hyderabad and their aim was to create awareness among the youth over cyber crimes and they are working in association with the state police department. He said that about ten students would be given training on cyber protection.

College director V Babu Rao, dean Rajesh C Jampala, Now End Foundation representative Rajendra, computer science department head Dr Ch Ravikiran, training and placement cell head K Sridhar and students were present.
