Parvathipuram:The state BJP has appointed Dr Hema Naik as a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Beneficiaries of Central Government Schemes. This was announced by the state president D Purandeswari at a press conference on Tuesday.

Dr Hema Naik is an eminent sociologist, doctor and member of BJP for a long time and is known for his dedicated services in tribal areas.

Purandeswari stated that while India was developing on all fronts at rapid speed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh had badly lagged behind and that there was no development in the state during last five years. It remained undeveloped because of the lack of vision of the state government.

She alleged that the state government had failed even to implement the Central government’s schemes and instead resorted to sticker campaign trying to promote their own party. There are many remote areas which are backward but the government had done nothing, she said.

She said Dr Naik who understands the pain and suffering of the tribals would be visiting every tribal village and will ensure that the Central schemes reach the beneficiaries.

Dr Naik expressed gratitude to BJP leaders Appanna Chaudhary and Parsuramaraju, Manyam district president Dwarapureddy Srinivas for entrusting him with this responsibility.
