Ongole: The Prakasam district unit of the Employees, Teachers, Workers and Pensioners Joint Action Committee in Andhra Pradesh organized a protest in front of the Collectorate on Tuesday and demanded the chief minister to fulfil all his promises made to them.

The JAC district chairman and APNGOs district president K Sarath Babu presided over the protest as the APNGOs state general secretary and deputy secretary-general of the state JAC Bandi Srinivasa Rao, JAC state secretary K Ramarao, and others participated in the program.

Bandi Srinivasa Rao said that the employees came on to roads for the fulfilment of their justifiable demands. He said that there were three DAs pending, PRC should have implemented from July 1, 2018, but the government is wasting time in the name of committees.

He demanded the government to provide 5 emergency leaves and two years of maternity leaves to women employees along with the women teachers. He asked the government to regularise the contract employees and increase the retiring age for Class IV employees to 62 years.

He said that the chief minister should understand that the parties who didn't want to give DAs were largely damaged. He announced that P Ashok Babu was no way related to APNGOs association and asked the employees to not link any parties affiliation to the association.
