The Thrombolysis injection, which is around Rs 40,000, is being used to buy some time to shift the patient, suffering from chest pain, from the rural places to the hospital in town.

The government offered the injection in the PHCs at Tirupati and Visakhapatnam district on a pilot basis and was satisfied with the result. The Aarogyasri Trust will be offering the Thrombolysis injection in every PHC in the state soon.
