Officials warned against delay in uploading data on Kanti Velugu in Eluru

Eluru: Joint Collector M Venugopal Reddy warned the health officials of stern action if they failed to upload data pertaining to implementation of YSR Kanti Velugu scheme.

He reviewed the progress of the scheme with officials here on Thursday. He asked the officials to complete the targets set under the first phase of the scheme much before December. He informed that a total of 5,00,937 students were screened under first phase of the scheme.

As many as 32,581 students were identified with eye sight problem. Under the second phase of programme since November 1, as many as 1671 students were examined. He directed the education department officials to be more active in brining the students to the eye screening locations. He asked the health department officials to present in next meeting with data relating to progress of the scheme.
