New body of Lions Club installed in Ongole
Ongole: In a grandeur festival held in NTR Kalakshetram in Ongole on Sunday, the Lions Club of Ongole Citizens installed its new body amid the celebrations of its members.
The chairman of Brilliant Computer Training Institute Ln Dr Shaik Nyamatulla Basha took oath as the 33rd president of the club, while Ln S Edukondalu took charge as secretary and Ln J Suresh Kumar as the treasurer. Ln DV Raghava and Ln Subbaiah Sarma acted as the masters of the ceremony when Ln MJF Dr M Sudhakar Reddy administered the oath-taking ceremony by the body.
The minister for energy, forests, environment, science and technology, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy attended as the chief guest and shared with the attendees about his association with the Lions Club and Nyamatulla Basha.
He congratulated the new president and wished that the club take-up much service programmes in his term and extended his support for the club activities in the future.
Nyamatulla Basha thanked everyone for cooperating with him for the last 24 years. He announced to start his activity by adopting the Oriental High School. The senior vice president of Vasavi Clubs International Ln MJF Sidda Suryaprakasa Rao, APTCA president Ln MJF P Prakash Babu, BJP AP Minority Morcha president Ln Shaik Khalifatulla Basha, past presidents and body members along with the other Lions members also participated in the programme and congratulated the new body.
