Nellore SP Aishwarya Rastogi transferred

Nellore: State government has transferred Superintendent of Police Aishwarya Rastogi within one year. He joined the district in October last year and has been functioning non-controversial. City rural MLA K Sridhar Reddy was not happy with the SP in connection with a dispute with an MPDO.

Now, the AIG Bhaskar Bhushan from the DGP's office who has been waiting for the posting has been picked as the new SP. The governments are making the police official responsible for the failures of the ruling parties, it is felt.

At the time of a dispute with the MPDO of Venkatachalam Mandal in connection with permissions to a land, MLA K Sridhar Reddy alleged that the SP Rastogi acted in favour of TDP.

But Rastogi hadn't made any statements against the legislator's comments. But the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the police boss to take action against the MLA based on the facts. The Chief Minister's office was not happy with the soft nature of the official with the leaders, it is learnt.
