Need to invent device to detect calcium in heart coronary stressed

Vijayawada: Prof Dr Ernico Maria Staderini, professor of Bio-Medical Engineering from Western Switzerland University and his team of 2 scholar students and Dr Dandamudi Prasad, an internist and occupational health specialist from California, Dr Ramesh Babu, Chairman of Telemedicine of India- AP Chapter addressed the media here on Thursday on the need to develop a device with less cost to detect Calcium in heart coronary and Carotid for mass detection.

On this occasion, the Swiss professor Dr Ernico Maria Staderini stated that they would like to develop a device with less cost to detect the Calcium in heart coronary and Carotid easily with the support of Dr Ramesh and Dr Prasad.

He said that within the next two years they would develop the device which would be based on the Indian genetic data with the support of Ramesh Hospitals. For which the students of Prof Staderini, Bryan Curchod and Nathan M Gonzales were in the internship study of the Calcium in heart coronary and Carotid in the patients.

The internist and occupational health specialist Dr Dandamudi Prasad said that the telemedicine should be developed in India to save thousands of lives by detecting the heart problem in advance.

Telemedicine of India AP Chapter president Dr Ramesh Babu said that Dr Ernico Maria Staderini designed several smart medical devices and he would like to introduce in India for the mass screening of the non-communicable deceases and others through telemedicine.

Dr Ramesh also said that many of the people are unnecessarily using more medicines with the lack of earlier detection mechanism in India. He stated that the project of designing the new device would start after calculating the statistics of earlier reports by the scholars. Management consultant Dr MC Das, Telemedicine of India AP chapter secretary Dr Sudarshan and others were present.
