Visakhapatnam: YSRCP leader and Government Chief Whip (MLC) Ummareddy Venkateswarulu has accused TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu of making derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in the name of conducting party review meetings in districts.

Speaking to media here on Sunday, Venkateswarulu said Naidu had lost his mental balance after suffering a severe drubbing in the elections. He pointed out that the TDP national president was resorting to cheap politics by making baseless accusations only to malign the good governance of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

"Chief Minister is keen on implementing the prohibition in phases as part of his poll promise. However, Naidu was deliberately politicising it with ulterior motive, mentioning that YSRC is involved in 'rowdyism' repeatedly," he stated.

Further, he said that as many TDP leaders were shifting gears and that Naidu was left with no other choice but resort to mudslinging. Venkateswarulu accused the TDP of making efforts for alliance with the BJP and Jana Sena Party in the ensuing local body elections.

He added that former Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao committed suicide because of the harassment from TDP and its president N Chandrababu Naidu. But he stated the TDP was not ready to accept the fact and hence blaming the government for the same.
