MP meets DRM over pending railway projects

Vijayawada: Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath alias Chinni on Tuesday met South Central Railway Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mohit Sonakiya and reviewed the pending railway development works in the NTR district. This was the MP’s first meeting with the DRM after he assumed charge. Kesineni congratulated Sonakiya and presented him with a Kondapalli Toy as a gesture of goodwill.

Division Commercial Manager Kamalakar Babu welcomed MP Kesineni Sivanath to the DRM office. Kesineni urged the DRM to take up the construction of the Limited Height Subway (LHS) between Vambay Colony and Madhuranagar at the earliest. To ease traffic congestion in the Vijayawada West constituency, he requested the construction of Road Under Bridges (RUBs) near the KL Rao Bridge (Erra Katta).

Highlighting long-pending proposals, he appealed for immediate tendering and grading of works related to Level Crossing No 316, 147, 148, and 8, where permissions for Road Over Bridges (ROBs) and RUBs have already been sanctioned. DRM Mohit Sonakiya responded positively and assured necessary action to expedite the pending projects.

In the meantime, MP Sivanath visited the Vijayawada Regional Passport Office at Stalin Centre Mall on the MG Road and met RPO S Vijayalakshmi. Later, he held a discussion with her regarding passport services in Vijayawada.
