Mobile malaria clinic flagged off :Collector
Guntur: District Collector Samuel Anand Kumar said that it was responsibility of everybody to make district malaria-free. He inaugurated Mobile Malaria and Dengue Clinic set up by the District Medical and Health Department at collectorate in Guntur city on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that there were more malaria cases registered in Mangalagiri, Macherla, Guntur and Chilakaluripet town. He said taking this into consideration, they have set up a mobile malaria and dengue clinic. He said the clinic would continue till the end of October.
He said that staff in the mobile clinics will go to every house and enquire about any patient suffering from malaria and dengue and they will create awareness on malaria and dengue. He said in case of need they will collect the blood samples from the suspects.
District Medical and Health Officer Dr Yasmin said mosquitoes will spread malaria and dengue fevers. She stressed on need to keep the surroundings clean. Malaria zonal officer Dr Swarna Kumari, district malaria officer Dr Gnanasri were among those participated in the meeting.
