Make collective efforts to improve green cover: M Srinivasa Rao

Visakhapatnam: To bring back the lost green cover, seed ball making turns out to be an effective intervention, stated Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao said. Taking part in the seed ball dispersal programme at Simhachalam hills on Saturday, he said that it was a collective effort of every individual to increase the green cover and lead a healthy life by consuming healthy diet.

Srinivasa Rao urged that every educational institution should follow the concept of seed collection and seed ball preparation. "We are looking forward to implement and create awareness on the concept of seed balls along with educational institutions to make the state as 'Haritandhraparadesh', following sustainable green measures," he informed.

Later, the Minister also prepared seed balls and distributed 10,003 saplings at Simhachalam Devasthanam. Further, he inaugurated information centre for providing information for people about Simhachalam Devasthanam.
