Lord rides on Kalpavriksha Vahanam in Tirumala
- Tirumala: On the fourth day of the ongoing Navaratri Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara, thousands of devotees were enthralled by the procession of Kalpavriksha Vahanam in the morning hours of Thursday.
The processional deity of Sri Malayappa Swamy flanked by His two divine consorts mounted atop the golden Kalpavriksha Vahanam was taken out in a grand procession around the Mada streets encircling the holy shrine.
The Kalpavriksha Vahanam is adorned with three divine elements of Kalpavriksha, Kamadhenu and Chintamani which are popular in Hindu mythology for granting all boons to their devotees indicating that Lord Venkateswara was the embodiment of all of them. The deity was also bedecked with very rare and precious jewels befitting the occasion.
The Kalpavriksha Vahanam of Lord Venkateswara is also a magnificent sight of greenery as it denotes the significance and importance of environment protection and forests even in the mythological lore and celestial governance of all the worlds.
To depict the same, Sri Malayappa Swamy draped in green dress blessed His devotees in Rajamannar Alankaram.
Acting Chief Justice of AP High Court Justice C Praveen Kumar, TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, additional EO AV Dharma Reddy, CVSO Gopinath Jatti, ACVO Sivakumar Reddy, Temple DyEO Haridranath, Peishkar Lokanadham and others took part.
Later in the evening, the Lord along with consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi, was taken in a procession on Sarva Bhupala Vahanam .
Meanwhile, the TTD has put in place all the arrangements for the important Gadurda Seva to be held on Friday. All the special darshan tickets have been cancelled for the day and more than 1,000 additional security personnel have been drafted to handle the rush.
