Kurnool: Pensions at your door step: MLA Hafeez Khan assures pensioners
Kurnool: The YSRCP Kurnool MLA, MA Hafeez Khan said that pensioners need not wait for lengthy hours at government offices, they would be served pension at their doorstepdoorstepdoorstep. This is a remarkable achievement by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, he said.
The MLA participated at the launching of door-step pensions distribution programme at Tilak Nagar in the city on Saturday. He along with the ward volunteers and Sachivalayam staff visited door to door and handed over pensions to the beneficiaries. He also interacted with the pensioners and asked how they feel about the scheme implemented by the YSR Congress government.
He said that the aim of Chief Minister is to ensure that the benefits of government welfare schemes reach to the people of all sections. The MLA also interacted with pensioners. "We feel very happy that they are being served the pension at our door step," said Vijaya Lakshmi, a resident of Tilak Nagar. The MLA also asked about the problems if any being faced by the ward volunteers and Sachivalayam staff. He suggested them to cross check the names of the pensioner if they encounter problems while taking biometric, adding, he suggested to bring to his notice about the problems.
Later speaking to media personnel, Hafeez Khan said that this is the first of its kind system, pension distribution at door-step was introduced in Andhra Pradesh.
The District Collector G Veera Pandiyan also participated at the programme at A Koduru in Bandi Atmakur and Bhramanakotkur in Nandikotkur.
