Kurnool: Habitual robber held, stolen gold ornaments seized
Kurnool: The personnel of Taluka Urban Police Station (UPS) have arrested one person on the charges of robbery on Friday. The DSP, Baba Fakkruddin, briefing media men, said that one Shaik Abdul Rahiman alias Chinal Munda resident of Anantapur was a habitual offender. He has stolen gold ornaments from a function hall on 8th of this month.
The victim, Santhi Latha lodged a complaint with the Taluka police station and the culprit was caught near Pullaiah Engineering College on Friday. During interrogation, Rahiman confessed of doing the crime, said the DSP.
We have recovered 32 tulas of gold ornaments. He has also managed entry into a locked gold shop and fled the scene with 9.5 grams of golden biscuit that was also recovered. He is an accused in several cases, added the DSP. Circle Inspector G Obulesu, Sub Inspectors Ch Khaza Vali, Gopal Reddy and others were present.
