Kurnool: AIYF demands stringent action against food adulterators

Kurnool: All India Youth Federation (AIYF) state secretary, N Lenin Babu said food adulteration is taking place on large scale. He demanded the government to initiate stringent action against food adulteration and ensure food safety to people.

On the occasion of World Food Safety day being observed on June 7, the federation leaders staged stir at Nakki Ramanna Bhavan and demanded the government to save people from falling prey to adulterated food.

Addressing on the occasion, Lenin Babu alleged that almost all eatables are being adulterated on large scale and the sellers are making money. People are facing severe health problems by consuming adulterated foods.

Lenin demanded the state government to appoint one food safety officer to every one lakh population at rural areas and 50,000 population in urban areas. It is very unfortunate that there are no food laboratories to identify food adulteration in that state which has a population of five crore, he alleged.

AIYF organising secretary, Puli Sekhar, Shiva, Ranavath Deva, Venkateshu, Srinu, Murali, Kiran and others participated.
