Krishnashtami held with gaiety

Eluru: Krishnashtami celebrations were conducted on a grand scale at the Gosamrakshanasala here on Saturday. Thousands of devotees offered special prayers to Lord Krishna since the early hours. A Sudarshana Yagam was also performed under the stewardship of prominent businessman K K Gupta.

MLC Ramu Surya Rao, participating in the celebrations, said that all religions preach the same truth. Helping fellow human beings is the crux of all religions. Helapuri has the history of communal harmony and people belonging to Hindus, Christians and Muslims mingle with one another and participate in all the festivals.
