KCP students shine in archery competition in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Students of KCP Siddhartha School excelled at the CBSE South Zone Archery Competition-2019 held at Chennai and won two gold medals and were qualified for nationals, according to the school principal, K Srihari on Tuesday. The competitions were held from October 19 to 21.

He informed that N Venkat Jahnavi from Class XII won gold medal in the Under-19 years category, K Venkatadri from Class XII won gold medal and K Sai Sushanth studying Class VI secured fifth place in the CBSE South Zone Archery Competitions.

Players from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands participated in the competition. Both the winners were selected for CBSE National Archery Competitions to be held in Punjab from November 9 to 14.

The Management of Siddhartha Academy, Secretary Paladugu Lakshmana Rao, President N Venkateswarlu, Convener Veerapaneni SasiKala congratulated the winners and teachers of the Physical Education Department for their achievement.
