Kakinada: Police trace kidnapped girl within 12 hours

Kakinada: The police rescued a four-year-old girl within 12 hours after she was kidnapped on Monday. The girl was restored to her parents. The incident happened in Draskharamam.

According the police, the girl, who belonged to a poor family. While her father is staying in Rajamahendravaram, the girl along with her brother and sister is with her mother in Draskharama. The mother and children used to sleep in the bus station and on the temple premises.

At midnight on Monday, a relative of kidnapped girl's mother saw three persons whisking away the girl on a motorcycle. The mother and her relative searched for the girl and later lodged a complaint with the police.

After receiving complaint, Draksharamam police station Sub-Inspector and Circle Inspector of Ramachandrapuram, Sub Divisional Police officer of Ramachandrapuram swung into action. They alerted the police of nearby police stations. On the directions of the Superintendent of Police Adnan Nayeem Asmi.

six teams were formed to trace the kidnapped girl and CC camera footage was examined, On being told by the mother that a woman had approached her. The woman wanted the mother to sell her daughter. Acting on the clue, the police traced the girl within 12 hours of kidnap.

The primes accused was identified as Talupulamma alias Mary. she had lost his daughter earlier and she is fond of adopting a girl child since then. Three days ago, she attempted to purchase the girl by offering money, but in vain. She promised to pay Rs 20,000. She paid Rs.13,000 to them.

The Superintendent of Police complimented the police team for tracing the girl.
