Kadapa: Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy owes answer in Viveka case, says CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna
Kadapa (YSR district) : CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna demanded that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to answer over his role in the murder case of former minister and his paternal uncle Y S Vivekananda Reddy.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, the CPI leader pointed out that as CM it is the responsibility of Jagan Mohan Reddy to clarify the doubts over his involvement in the high profile murder as his name was mentioned in the supplementary affidavit filed by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Telangana High Court on Friday.
Expressing suspicions on the way the CBI is conducting the probe, he said it appears that the victim (Viveka’s daughter Suneetha) as the CBI is under pressure of Union home minister Amit Shah.
“It will be a simple thing for CBI to arrest the Kadapa MP as it did in case of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. It questioned Aam Admi Party chief and Delhi CM Aravind Krejriwal for nine hours over liquor scam,” he said. .
The CPI leader alleged that the CBI is not doing the same in AP as it has become a puppet in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union minister Amit Shah.
He said Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has colluded with Union minister Amit Shah in this case and has been diverting and diluting the investigation.
He condemned the BJP government not inviting President Draupadi Murmu for inauguration of new Parliament building, saying that it is nothing but lowering the prestige of the office of President who is the first citizen of India.
Ramakrishna pointed out that the situation might have different if former Presidents like Pranab Mukherji or Venkataraman faced such insult as the government would have faced stiff resistance from upper castes. He welcomed the decision of 21 opposition parties to abstain from the inauguration of Parliament complex.
