Jagan Mohan Reddy reviews Spandana Program, appoints a committee to bring reforms in the medical field

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday reviewed on his ambitious Spandana program of the state government to address the problems of the people. As part of the program, he held a video conference with collectors, SPs and dignitaries of all districts. Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has given key directions for reforms in the state medical sector.

CM Jagan said the committee was appointed to implement reforms in the medical field. Chief Secretary LV Subramaniam has been appointed as the chairman of the committee while retired IAS officer Sujatha Rao has been appointed as Co-Chairman. The CM said that ten members from different departments were appointed.

Besides, the CM has appointed a committee to convert the teaching hospitals and district hospitals into autonomous institutions.

The Director of Medical Education, APVVP Commissioner, former VC IV Rao and NRHM MD will be members of the committee. The Secretary of the Ministry of Health Jawahar Reddy has issued orders to this extent.

Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy reviewed the committee on reforms in the state education sector. The Chairman of the Committee Professor N Balakrishnan gave a PowerPoint presentation on the issues they have identified in the public education system. In this regard, the Reform Committee commended the activities of Amma Odi, Nadu-Nedu programs.

CM conducted a review on sand mining and distribution also and decided to host the Isuka Varothsavaalu (sand weekend). The Chief Minister made it clear that no one should talk about the shortage of sand again.
