Jagan gets rousing welcome

Kadapa: Chief Minister-designate YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who reached Kadapa as part of his one-day visit, was accorded warm welcome by YSRCP MLAs and district administration at airport here on Wednesday.

He offered special prayers along with Muslim religious elders at Ameen Peer Dargah popularly known as Pedda Dargah in the city. Earlier, he presented traditional chadar at dargah. Later, the CM-designate participated in special prayers along with his family members at CSI Church in Pulivendula town.

At 2.50 pm, Jagan visited YSR memorial in Idupulapaya and paid rich tributes to his father and former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

On the occasion, he received representations from local people over several issues and assured them to solve those problems at the earliest. Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy, party MLAs Amjad Basha and M Mallikarjuna Reddy, District Collector Ch Harikiran, SP Abhishek Mohanty and other officials were present.
