Amaravati: TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu launched a blistering attack on Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy while concluding the two-day Mahanadu on Thursday. He said that, in his one year rule, Jagan crippled legislature, executive, judiciary and also the media, which are four pillars of democracy.

Speaking on resolutions, Naidu said that every programme of Jagan was designed for corruption. In the name of prohibition, YSRCP leaders were committing massive fraud in liquor while supplying poor quality brands putting poor people's health at risk. Abnormal rates were being collected causing further financial loss to poor workers. The chief minister was collecting Jagan Reddy Service Tax rampantly everywhere, Naidu accused. The TDP supremo criticised that Jagan was literally behaving like a leech, squeezing blood out of poor people as well.

During a discussion on a resolution on Amaravati capital city, Naidu advised Jagan to stop crushing the Capital City. He said that it has worldwide significance and is a win-win project for the Government, people and the 28,500 farmers who sacrificed their 35,000 acres land for construction of the capital. He suggested that the government should change its biased attitude and start rebuilding Capital in Amaravati itself without endangering AP future any further.

TDP slammed Jagan for imposing an additional burden of Rs. 50,000 Cr on the people in the form of increased taxes and rates in liquor, sand, power, cement, RTC and mines. Essential commodities rates have skyrocketed making poor people's lives difficult. Farmers, who are crushed due to loss of crops, are being asked to pay power bills now.
