Internal fissures among YSRCP leaders come to fore
Amaravati: The alleged illegal sand mining operations led to disputes among the leaders of the YSR Congress Party and brought to the fore the differences.
The disputes were brought to the notice of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. According to sources, the Chief Minister discussed with the party leaders over the issue and directed them to stop illegal sand mining operations immediately.
Tadikonda MLA V Sridevi and Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh reportedly complained against each other on the issue. Already the followers of the two leaders lodged complaints against each other with the officials concerned by submitting evidence on illegal sand mining.
MLA Sridevi asked the officials to stop illegal mining operations in her constituency limits. She questioned MP Suresh's intervention on this issue. She complained against the MP also. In this backdrop, the Chief Minister's office called him and discussed on the sand operations.
Similar controversy erupted recently at Mylavaram constituency in Krishna district. The followers of Pedana MLA Jogi Ramesh and Mylavaram MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad lodged complaints against each other on illegal sand operations.
The followers of Vasantha questioned the intervention of followers of Pedana MLA.
