Hindupur : TDPMP candidate for Hindupur Lok Sabha constituency B K Parthasarathi has described the Land Titling Act of the YSRCP government as the ‘Land Grabbing Act’, aimed at grabbing the common man's property legally by the government.

No State in the country has adopted the so called Act of the Union government due to reservations on the issue, whereas the AP government is implementing the Act with the aim of grabbing the people's land taking advantage of it's provisions.

Addressing a meeting here on Friday, Parthasarathi attacked Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for showing over-enthusiasm in implementing the Act.

The government brought the Act into implementation by issuing GO No.512 in this regard. The government constituted the AP Land Authority and appointed chairman and members on December 29, 2023. Since then people have been opposing it tooth and nail.

Parthasarathi alleged that the Chief Minister has been misleading the people saying that necessary norms have not been framed as yet.

He demanded to know why the Chief Minister was the first to issue a GO when all other State governments were going slow.

He accused the Chief Minister of siphoning off funds to the tune of Rs 8 lakh crore through the land, sand, liquor, mines, ganja, drugs, red sanders smuggling and PDS rice. He has divested the corrupt funds into land scams and in the process saw the civil courts as an impediment to his grand design. To overcome any possible hurdles from the civil courts, he has given revenue officers, the powers of the civil courts to effectively manage litigation.

The Chief Minister is in the process of grabbing the farmers lands to an extent of 8,500 acres in Ramayyapatnam and awarding the lands to his benami firm at throw away prices, Parthasarathi alleged.

The TDP MP candidate warned that casting a vote in favour of Jagan Reddy meant axing off the tree branch on which the farmer is sitting with his own axe. There were also dangerous provisions in the Act under which the government can declare any farm land as disputed land.

Parthasarathi warned voting to YSRCP means signing one's own death warrant and depriving one self of one's own land.

He called upon the people to strengthen the TDP-BJP-JSP alliance and save themselves from an impending disaster.
