Guntur: Market Federation is set to open purchase centres in Duggirala

Guntur: Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Market Federation (AP Markfed) is set to open purchasing centers in Duggirala Agriculture Market Yard to purchase turmeric stocks from farmers at Rs.6,850 per quintal as fixed by the State government. The officials will provide necessary facilities to purchase turmeric stock from farmers in the yard.

The Markfed will purchase turmeric stocks from the farmers who registered under the E-Karshak. The Markfed officials urged the farmers not to sell turmeric to middle men at a lower price and requested them to sell turmeric in the Markfed purchase centres to get the MSP of Rs.6,850 per quintal and avail the facility provided by the government.
