Guntur: District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar directed officials to give 40 percent share to jute mill workers

Guntur: District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar on Wednesday directed the District Industries Centre General Manager AV Patel to discuss with the higher officials and take steps to offer 40 percent of the share to the workers in the jute mill.

He conducted a meeting with the Bhajrang Jute Mill Parirakshana Samithi members at the Collectorate.

Speaking on the occasion, Lella Appi Reddy urged the District Collector to take steps to reopen the jute mill and to provide employment to the workers.

The District Collector informed that a case was pending in the High Court relating to the jute mill. Regarding 40 percent of the share to the workers, higher officials of the DIC should take steps.

Joint Commissioner of Labour Malleshwara Kumar, Jute mill coordinator DV Srinivas were among those participated.
