Guntur civic chief inspects pension disbursal

Guntur: Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA) Mission Additional Director Siva Parvati, GMC Commissioner Challa Anuradha on Sunday distributed pensions at the doorsteps of the YSR Pension beneficiaries.

Speaking on this occasion, Siva Parvathi said that the aim of the government is to pay pension at the doorsteps of the beneficiary. She directed the officials to complete pension distribution as early as possible so that people would not be put to hardship. She enquired about beneficiaries' mapping and total number of pension beneficiaries in Guntur.

She inspected the 164th ward secretariat office at Nehru Nagar and instructed the officials concerned to display the board properly to the beneficiaries. Ward volunteers should be within the reach of people in the village secretariat or ward secretariat, she ordered. Otherwise, the beneficiaries will face lot of problems, she added.

The GMC commissioner enquired about the problems of volunteers. If they have any problems, she will solve them, she assured.
