Guntur: Brahmin Welfare Corporation to clear pending pensions, scholarships

Guntur: Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation will clear the pending dues of pensions and scholarships to those who applied for scholarships and did not get financial assistance under Amma-Vodi scheme.

The state government has already began an exercise to clear the dues. The state government allotted Rs 200 crore funds to the AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation for the financial year 2020-21 in state Budget. The government will clear the dues and merge the pensions with the YSR Pension Kanuka scheme. The government will clear the scholarships to about 4800 beneficiaries who did not get benefit under the other welfare schemes.

Deputy Speaker in the State Legislative Assembly K Raghupati, AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation chairman Malladi Vishnu spoke to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday and briefed steps taken to clear pending pensions and scholarships. They thanked the Chief Minister for allotting Rs 200 crore Budget to the Brahmin Welfare Scholarships.
