Gudivada: Kodali Nani assures houses by April
Gudivada: Nearly 5000 beneficiaries of housing scheme along with Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Venkateswara Rao (Nani), marched to the Township and Infrastructure and Development Corporation of India (TIDCO) housing complex located about three km from Gudivada on Monday.
The State government has sanctioned 8912 houses to Gudivada under the housing for all. More than 70 per cent works of the complex completed. The important works like flooring, electrical works, drainage, roof etc are pending.
Nani, as part of the Nadu-Nedu padayatra programme visited the TIDCO complex located in Mallaipalem village of Gudivada rural mandal on Monday.
Speaking to the beneficiaries, Kodali Nani said 5000 houses would be ready by March and April, 2021. The beneficiaries explained the Minister about the poor condition of the complex. Responding to it, Kodali Nani said tenders will be called to take up development works at the cost Rs 80 crore and initially 5000 houses would be completed and allotted to the beneficiaries.
He said the remaining 3912 houses would be completed by November/December 2021 and assured the beneficiaries that the State government is taking measures to complete the works at any cost. He said 181 acres land purchased for construction of 3912 houses and earth filling work was completed in 90 acres land. Minister assured that the government would construct the houses at any cost.
YSRCP leaders Dukkipati Sasibhushan, Municipal former vice-chairman Adapa Babji, YSRCP town president G Srinu and others participated in the Padayatra to the TIDCO complex.
