Govt keen to strengthen education sector: Minister Taneti Vanitha

Rajamahendravaram: Minister for Woman and Child Welfare Taneti Vanitha has said that the state government is giving top priority for health and education sectors. Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is very much particular to strengthen the two sectors.

Participating in a meeting held on international standards in education held at the government college here on Friday, she said the government is introducing radical changes in education sector and strengthening it.

The CM introduced English medium from first to sixth standards in all government schools, which helps the poor and middle class students to study in English medium.

The principals and headmasters should put their endeavour to maintain standards in the schools and colleges, she said. Skill development centres also helps the students to get jobs and underlined the need to enhance skill and communication skills, she added.

School education commissioner MM Naik said the government is very much particular to strengthen primary education which is the foundation to any student. Heads of educational institutions should keep standards in education, he said. Nannaya University vice-chancellor Prof P Suresh Varma, college principal Dr David Kumar and others were present.
