Godavari Boat Extraction: Seven Bodies Found Are Sent For DNA Tests

It is known that the Royal Vashishta tourist boat was brought to shore in the Godavari river at Kachchuluru. Seven bodies were recovered, and bodies were rushed to the Rajamahendravaram government hospital. Two ambulances were used to shift the dead bodies to the mortuary in the presence of the police.

The bodies of the deceased will be handed over to the families only after DNA tests. The bodies were damaged in a room on the boat. SDRF crews are searching for the remaining five dead bodies.

Dharmadi Satyam extracted the Royal Vashishtat boat which sunk in Godavari river at Kachchuluru in East Godavari on September 15. Ten Deep Divers from Vishakha's Om Shivshakti Sai Underwater Service also joined the Dharmadi team in extracting the boat.

The accident took place when the tourists were travelling to Papikondalu in the Godavari river. As many as 73 people travelled while 38 dead bodies were retrieved earlier.
