GN Rao panel report copies torched in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: MLC Y Rajendra Prasad and Save Amaravati-JAC members torched the GN Rao committee report copies in Bhogi bonfire at Vuyyur here on Tuesday. The MLC and others raised slogans condemning the three capitals proposal of the State government.

Speaking on the occasion, MLC Prasad said the Boston Consultancy Group and GN Rao committee reports were of no use for the State. He demanded that the state government continue the capital at Amaravati.

He said that he would extend full support to the farmers of Amaravati in their justified struggle as they made several sacrifices in giving up their fertile lands in the hope of seeing a world class capital city in their native place.

Amaravati JAC members M Rama Mohana Rao and others participated in the protest.

They raised slogans against the YSRCP government and brutal crackdown of protestors in Amaravati.
