Give plastic carry bags, take clay idols in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: To transform Vijayawada as plastic-free city, Doondi Ganesh Foundation has been organising many service activities, said foundation organiser Doondi Rakesh here on Sunday.

The foundation was distributing Ganesh idols made of clay in an innovative way with a slogan 'Give Plastic Carry Bags and take home a Clay Ganesh Idol' which received good response.

The members of foundation distributed clay idols of Ganesh by taking plastic carry bags at various places like MG Road, Moghalrajapuram, Eluru Road, Gunadala, Patamata, Governorpeta and others places in the city. Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh said that they distributed about 15,000 clay Ganesh idols across the city.
