Update: 2019-11-20 12:22 IST
If the reports are to believed, former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy has been appointed as the president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee. Information about his appointment is likely to be issued soon. Former Union Ministers Chinta Mohan and Mangamati Pallam Raju contested for the APPCC.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi seems to be interested in Kiran Kumar Reddy. However, Kiran Kumar Reddy is not willing to take up the post of PCC. Kiran was the last Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and launched Jai Samaikyandhra Party to oppose the Congress decision on the partition of the state. However, he rejoined the Congress before the last (2019)elections.
