Foreign delegates visit Chodavaram in Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam: About 23 foreign delegates from 19 Afro-Asian countries visited Chodavaram village secretariat as part of the international training programme under the National Institute of Rural Development.
During the interaction with the locals and Village Secretaries, they lauded the efforts made by the State government towards the improvement of the rural areas. Apart from examining the facilities, the foreign delegates also expressed happiness over the amenities provided at the village.
They said some of the models followed in the village will be recommended in their respective countries. The study team also learnt about Zero Budget Natural Farming along with other schemes of the government and appreciated the steps taken by the departments in empowering the tribals.
District Collector V Vinay Chand, officials of District Rural Development Agencies and other officials extended support to the training programme wherein the foreign delegates considered it a great learning experience.
