Energy conservation rally organised

Rajamahendravaram: East Godavari district joint collector N Tej Bharat flagged off a rally to mark National Energy Conservation Week at the Collectorate on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, collector said that energy conservation measures must be followed by everyone so that use of fossil fuels like coal, gas, and crude oil can be saved.

Later, a wall poster was released.

Household consumers, managers of industries and commercial establishments, and youth need to be sensitised on energy conservation. The state government is paying attention to the utilisation of energy resources for better power supply to the people. Rajamahendravaram Operation Circle Superintending Engineer TVSN Murthy said that on Friday, a workshop will be held with women self-help groups on the importance of saving electricity.

He said that painting competitions on energy conservation are being organised for school students in each sub-divisional headquarters.
