Eluru: SP reviews progress in SC/ST atrocities cases

Eluru: West Godavari Superintendent of Police Navdeep Singh Grewal reviewed the progress made in cases under SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act with all sub-division officials, SC/ST cell 1 and circle inspectors through live video streaming from his office here on Thursday.

He enquired about the status of various cases and gave suggestions to the officials for speedy disposal of the cases.

He directed the officials concerned to produce the witnesses in the court and ensure that the culprits get the harshest punishment possible. He advised them to carefully frame various sections while filing such cases and give inform about the action taken on the cases to the circle inspector of the District Crime Records Bureau. The bureau should pursue the cases, he added.
