Dwajarohanam performed at Dokiparru temple in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Dwajarohanam celebrations marked the second day of the four-day Brahmotsavam at Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Dokiparru village of Gudlavalleru mandal in Krishna district on Friday. The celebrations started at 8 am with the Vedic priests chanting mantras. The programme was supervised under the aegis of temple founder trustee P Venkatakrishna Reddy and his wife Sudha.

Former Sarpanch P Veera Reddy, Vijayalakshmi, P Nagi Reddy, Prasanna and a huge gathering of devotees were present at the Dwajarohanam celebrations. The Vedic priests explained the importance and specificity of the Dwajarohanam celebrations.

Special pujas were performed on the occasion and Garuda prasadam was distributed to the devotees. The temple priest told the devotees, by having the prasadam on the temple premises unfertile couple will be blessed with children and people with chronic illness will be cured, as per Puranas. Spiritualist Murali Srinivasa Iyangar illustrated about the Brahmotsavam, Bhagavatam, Venkateswara Mahatyam and others on the occasion.
