Cyber cheat from Madhya Pradesh arrested in Kurnool

Kurnool: The Yemmignoor police have arrested a person on the charges of cheating through online. CI Sreedhar Raju, along with the personnel of Regional Cyber Forensic lab, addressed press meet on Sunday.

He said that one Javed Khan, resident of Damoah district in Madhya Pradesh has put his motor bike (Yamaha RX 100) on sale and posted the contents on OLX web site. One Shaik Shabeer, resident of Yemmiganoor contacted Javed Khan and disclosed his interest to buy the motor bike.

The deal was settled at Rs.23, 500 and Shabeer paid the amount through google account. After receiving the amount, Javed Khan switched off his mobile, said Sreedhar Raju.

Shabeer approached the Yemmiganoor police and lodged a complaint. As per the directions of SP Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli, a team was formed with SI Sarath Kumar Reddy, Head constables, Chandra Khadri and Cyber lab constable, Moula to nab the culprit, said the CI.

The team, with the help of Regional Cyber Forensic Lab department police, tracked the whereabouts of the accused and arrested him in Madhya Pradesh and brought him to city on transit warrant. The Superintendent of Police Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli commended the team's effort in cracking the case.

Ecops in-charge, Raghava Reddy (Cyber Lab in-charge) Yemmiganoor SI Sarath Kumar Reddy and Cyber Lab technical team were present.
