Coronavirus update: 500 new cases reported in Andhra Pradesh taking tally to 8,76,336

The coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh has been decreasing for the last month with less than 500 cases being reported every day. In the latest health bulletin released by the government on Tuesday, 61,452 coronavirus tests were conducted in the last 24 hours where as many as 500 new cases were reported in the last twenty-four hours. As per the bulletin, the total number of coronavirus cases to 8,76,336. Meanwhile, about 7,064 people have died of dreadful virus including five deaths with two in Krishna, one each in Guntur, Chittoor and Nellore.

In the past 24 hours, 563 people have fully recovered and took the total number of people recovered in the state to 8,64,612. There are currently 4,660 active cases in the state who are undergoing treatment in various hospitals. So far, the state has conducted 1,09,38,377 coronavirus tests.

Meanwhile, East Godavari district has the highest number of 1,23,063 positive cases in the state, followed by West Godavari district with 93,460 cases while Chittoor district has 84,977 cases and stood at the top in the list of district-wise data.
