Cops conduct an open house programme in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: An open house programme was organised at the District Armed Reserve Kalyanamandapam at Kailasagiri here on Tuesday as a part of the 'Police Commemoration Week'.

Additional SP (Administration) Ajitha Vejendla, who inaugurated the programme, explained to students about the use of weaponry, modern technology being used to solve cases and bomb disposal procedure.

She interacted with the students and asked them how cops play an imperative role in maintaining the law and order in the society. Further, Ajitha advised the students to ensure the use of seatbelts and helmets by their parents and asked the children to make a pledge on it. Students from KDPM High School, Gudlavanipalem Government Primary School and BVK Junior College took part in the open house. The children were thrilled by the feats of dog squad. They also had a chance to see the weapons used by the cops on the occasion.
